What's been going on at SD

July 14, 2011

We'll to say things have been challanging since the landslide that took out our old shop in 09 would be an understatement but thanks to our great customers and the consistent demand for our products we do see light at the end of tunnel. It's taken a lot of hard work and will continue to take a lot of hard work to recover from the set back but we're more determined than ever.

We recently purchased a state of the art Rottler SG8 seat and guide machine with a dual head fixture to increase our productivity and free up the CNC to be more dedicated to porting and other machining tasks. Our customers want shorter lead times and we are working hard to get there with the goal of having some of our most popular head packages on the shelf only requiring final surfacing (allows us to give our customers the chamber size they need) and assembly (allows us to set the heads up with the correct valve, springs etc. for our customers application)

We have a number of new programs in the works, some were shelved since the slide as we were focused mostly on production the last few years. We look forward to again dedicate more time to R&D in our never ending quest to develop more cost effective Pure Pontiac Power.

We'll be offering CNC ported Edelbrock D-Port heads in the near future as well as packages for other aluminum and cast iron heads.

Everyone at SD would like to thank our customers and friends for their loyal support and words of encouragement, it is greatly appreciated and we look forward to serving the Pontiac Performance Hobby for many years to come.

Questions and/or comments are always welcome, just give us a call or shoot us an e-mail at admin@sdperformance.com
