Happy New Year from SD Performance!!

January 5, 2008

Well, it's another new year and we are all excited at SD Performance to continue to grow in 2008 with an ever expanding product line.
One area that we really focused on in 2007 was to increase our in stock parts selection to better serve our customers needs and 2008 will be no different with more high quality parts in stock at competitive prices!

Also, in 2007 we spent a considerable amount of time dyno testing heads, intakes, camshafts etc. on different engine combinations from mild to wild to offer our customers better and more intelligent choices.
We will continue to do more testing in 2008 in our never ending quest to offer our customers more proven combinations that flat out work!
We have various mule engines from 461-572 cubic inches that we are in the process of building, so that we can continue the testing of cylinder heads, intake manifold configurations and camshaft designs beyond the normal "Pontiac Style" grinds which have now been in use for many years.

At SD Performance we realize that since we now have readily available shortblock components capable of reliable big hp and rpm (Thanks to All Pontiac, BOP Engineering and KRE) and along with new cylinder head designs, a different approach needs to be taken in other areas of the engine combination to bring our beloved Pontiac V8 to the next level in engine performance.

Thanks to the experience that Dave has gained over the last 10 years by being involved with various big hp non-Pontiac engine projects, where he used his expertise to correctly port and improve intake manifolds and cylinder heads as well as flow test and evaluate many different kinds of cylinder head and intake manifold configurations, Dave was able to take the knowledge gained from doing this and apply it to his primary focus and personal passion, the Pontiac V8.

An excellent example is the CNC chamber program on our KRE D-port head packages. Lessons learned from creating CNC chamber programs for SBC's were directly applied to our KRE D-port head packages, the end result being improved low and mid lift flow.

At SD Performance, we believe that if we are going to continue to run with or better yet, out run the other brands, then we have to find out what makes them tick and use that data to help realize all the potential the traditional Pontiac V8 engine has to offer at every performance level. Not everything that we learn can always be directly applied, but at the end of the day they are all big airpumps so it's always good to look outside the "Pontiac Box"

In 2008 SD Performance will be offering more CNC head porting programs. We are currently working on the KRE High Port and will be offering a few different stages of porting in std. pushrod location as well as a wideport configuration. We also plan on offering CNC porting for the new CV-1 Canted Valve head from Roland Racing as well as adding a few more cast iron CNC porting programs to our already extensive list.

Our goal with all of our CNC porting packages is to offer the right package for our customers needs and the only way we feel we can properly do that is to have the largest selection available.

We always appreciate feedback, so if you have any questions or suggestions on how we can improve our services, then please don't hesitate to email us or give us a call CONTACT US

We wish everyone lower ET's in 2008!!!
